This course of the Complete Digital Photographer will be six sessions:
(1) Understanding Digital Photography, The Camera. This class provides an
overview of digital photography camera operation, designed to simplify your
understanding of how the camera works.
(2) Exposure & Histograms, The Meter. This class will simplify your
understanding of how the camera thinks and sees. Learn the process of how to
read your meter and control your exposure.
(3) The Art of Seeing, Learning to See Light, The Flash. Learn how to see your
subject in relation to the background, to determine your camera position.
(4) Photo Shop for Photographers, Downloading, Saving, Sizing, Sending. The
class will feature Photoshop Elements, as the application for filing, processing
and sizing your images for a particular use.
(5) & (6) Finishing Touches in Photoshop. Learn what photographers need to know
about processing and enhancing their digital photographs. These classes will
cover standard enhancement, retouching and how to print.
James Corwin Johnson has specialized in professional photography for over 35
years. He is a graduate of the Glen Fishback School of Photography. As a
contemporary of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston, he is best known for simplifying
the Ansel Adams Zone System. His career has taken him to Canada, Mexico, Africa
& Europe. His work has appeared in publications for, Eastman Kodak, Paramount
Pictures, textbooks and other consumer and industrial media. He was the Director
of Photography at Yosemite National Park for more than 12 years and worked for
many other companies.
