One of the verities of life in the United States is that our lives rarely allow for time or opportunity to ponder and discuss national and international news and events.

This course will provide a friendly and lively forum in which participants can exchange news and views with fellow news “junkies” for an hour and a half uninterrupted by any other of life’s many events.

The instructor will bring items for discussion but participants are strongly urged to bring their own news and views for a truly participatory experience.

Growing up in a family that subscribed to six different newspapers, Ann Mangum has had a lifelong love affair with the news. She has a BA in Sociology from Regis College and has done graduate work in education at UCLA and FSU. Following separate careers in social work and elementary education, she and her husband, Wiley, retired to Sun City Center in 2002.
